Kitchen 164 Gallery

A 1980’s home in Sterling, Virginia has been occupied by a middle aged couple who wanted to upgrade their kitchen. The kitchen was cramped and they needed more space.
Our design team met with the couple to discuss all of their option and they all agreed on expanding the kitchen within the walls.
Unused closet that was under a bearing wall was removed and refrigerator and pantry were added
Adjacent to that space there was an unused wall that we took advantage and added shallow base cabinets and glass front wall cabinets
Majority of the kitchen had bulkheads filled with duct work and plumbing for upstairs bath, all of the plumbing was re-routed allowing more cabinets and storage
We have ran ground plumbing to accommodate a prep sink in the peninsula
There was a railing separating the kitchen/breakfast area from the adjacent family room, with and extended kitchen layout this space in the breakfast room needed more floor space to allow a table
We have built a 2 foot extension of kitchen flooring into family room to extend the breakfast area that meant removal of the railing and now we have created bar seating in place of the railing with granite counter-tops
We have brought in gas lines for the new stove
New kitchen has extended porcelain tiles, cherry cabinetry to the ceiling, granite counter tops, lots of recessed lighting under the cabinets also backsplash tiles complimenting the flooring
