BATHROOM

They had a large master bathroom with an oddly placed whirlpool place in the middle of the room, They wanted to relocate the laundry room to second floor to be conveniently placed outside of Master Suite. They also wanted to have the commode in a separate area. Also, they wanted to cozy up the large bathroom with a seating area with fireplace

Challenges: the mud return duct and hot water flu line was placed in a closet space that served no purpose for them in the bathroom. There was a closet space in the hallway that could be converted to laundry space but required relocating all fu and duct line.

The private commode area required major plumbing changes.

Solutions: major changes were about to come. Lots of plumbing, flu pipes and duct were to be changing directions and opening a space about 7’x 12’ instead of closet and entering through upstairs hallway. Now consider to be top level laundry room, mud room space.

The tub was repositioned under the south side window and was replaced with a slick looking slipper free standing tub and tub filler

Converting small shower with a much opened up and larger shower, with built in niches and bench surrounded with a thick glass enclosure.

We have installed a double sided linear gas fireplace between Master suite and bathroom, making a lounging area in the bathroom for relaxation

A heated floor laid under large scale tile make this huge bath more attractive. A round colored Medallion was installed in middle of this bathroom to further emphasis larger bathroom. A center Island was placed there as well.

The choice of dark color cabinetry was the ice breaker to all light color floor and wall tiles.

A wall towel warmer, heated floor, double face gas fireplace, chandelier, medallion towered cabinetry, slipper tub and a lot more all are to name of few of the added amenities to this project.

They get to enjoy the spa day experience just in luxury of their own home.

Consideration for need for second floor laundry/mudroom and functional yet soothing bathroom has been the highlights of this renovation.
