How does it feel to clean your wine cellar? Pretty challenging right? A wine cellar include various ornamental elements such as fixtures, accents on your wine racks and furniture, including the doors and windows. Although these aesthetic elements are pleasing to the eye, they are also susceptible to dirt.
Of course, you can choose not to clean your wine cellar, however, it will lessen the value of your wine cellar. Here’s a list of tips and tricks for easy and effective cleaning that you can try.
Tip 1
Sort out ornamental metal elements by size. Start with large accessories such as doors and windows then proceed to the smaller ones. Use a bucket or pail when cleaning bigger iron accessories, and use a spray bottle for smaller items such as metal carvings, lighting fixtures, and glassware.
Tip 2
Remember not to use harsh chemicals for cleaning. Strong household cleaning products may cause corrosion to metal accessories. It is safer to use warm water with mild soap. You can also try using vinegar for wrought iron items.
Tip 3
Use soft-bristled toothbrush for smaller wrought iron fixtures. Don’t forget to cover the wooden areas of the furniture with cloth. For other items, you can use microfiber towel or sponge in order to avoid scratches in the furniture and accessories.
Tip 4
After doing the initial cleaning and washing, do another round for a thorough clean-up. Make sure that all iron parts are washed and completely cleaned.
Tip 5
Wipe your furniture and accessories with dry microfiber towel. Remember not to wipe your items too much because it would scratch your items. You may use a blow dryer to dry smaller accessories or you may use an electric fan to dry everything up.
