Kitchens – 2307

This family of four have moved in to this golf course community in Ashburn, Va. Their first course of action was to gut out the kitchen. Dated as she called it separated by a load bearing wall from adjacent sunroom totally blocking the gorgeous lake and golf course view.

Our design staff have drawn up the plan to bust through back wall, by the way of inserting a structural beam, relocating gas line and flu line for fireplace below, and rerouting all
plumbing.

By the way of eliminating old peninsula, we were able to make room for a large 8-foot x 14-foot Island with sink, two dishwashers, ice maker, built in microwave and lots of cabinetry in middle of this large kitchen. Covered in an exotic QUARTZITE stone makes this kitchen stunning

The east wall had three long windows and wasted a lot of space on that side of kitchen. We suggested shorter and wider windows, allowing entire wall to be home for lots of base cabinetry and more lights to get into this kitchen.

This act allowed to install a 48″ large fridge on the south wall with room for a built-in espresso machine and lots of counter space.

West wall now home for a professional 48″ stove with stunning custom designed marble backsplash tile.

Crystal Chandelier and pendent lights have spruced up this awesome kitchen. The extension of wide plank maple wood flooring made the connection of old kitchen and new extension natural and seamless.

Use of smart LED lighting plans, such as under counter, toe kick, inside cabinet lighting and a lot more has brightened up this award-winning kitchen.

Now more than ever they have been spending time in their new central station. They love the contrast of light grey Island cabinetry with blue veins of new counter tops.

Challenges of this project have been upgrading 1″ gas line from main meter base, embedding load bearing beam to open up to sunroom, redoing brick on east side to allow larger windows.

This amazing transformation from the ragged old kitchen to a large and captivating light and airy gourmet kitchen have made this homeowner stunned. They love to show off their new kitchen and its wonderful amenities, they have been the biggest advocate for our company in their exclusive golf course neighborhood.
