Leaving the 80’s and walk into new era of contemporary bath is how I can describe this project. Old and tired look of the colonial Chantilly home was no longer what this hip couple imagined to live the rest of the lives in.
They wanted it all:
- Bigger and better.
- Large walk in shower with no lip for aging in place near relatives.
- A bit outdoor feel inside of the bath.
- Better lighting and more storage.
What we have seen was to rejuvenate this bathroom with a soothing and open feel theme.
Taking some space from adjacent closet, we were able to enlarge the shower stall. The entire floor was built up and water proofed to allow seem-less and level between shower floor and bath floor.
By widening up the bath, we were able to enlarge commode area, with a French/frosted glass pocket door and built in storage space. Back wall of toilet was covered with a stacked stone (embedding wall mounted and hidden tank toilet)
Featured wall surround the free standing oval tub covered with stacked stone and recessed and hanging shelves. All with low voltage back lights.
The shower offered all upgraded plumbing gadgets, separated by a floor to ceiling heavy glass panel yet open to tub area from right side.
Linear niches and river rock stones set off this project way above others.
Matching to vanity stained French doors letting daylight into the bathroom.
Special stain color contemporary vanity with a rare slab counter top and vessel sinks make the vanity wall stand tall. The back lights and pendent lights are all featuring the new era into this bathroom.
This couple could not be any happier with the way this project has turned out .They have bragged about it to all friends and neighbors.
