This couple had put up with their run down split level home for years. They lived in a very convenient Arlington neighborhood which gave them a walking distance to metro. But enough was enough with plain small and ugly bathrooms of this home.
They wanted a new look.
The challenges were follows:
Part of the mudroom was given into closet, hallway and a totally refreshed powder room
Hall bathroom was removed by adding a new window and relocating the new tub under that. That given a chance to have pocket door for adjacent bedroom to access this bath. The single glass panel voids having a shower curtain for tub.
Master bathroom was dragged and small. The closet door was relocated. Part of closet and dressing area was added to master bathroom. Tub was taken out and a new high fashioned shower stall with limestone wall and frameless glass replaced it. A tall window got added to allow more light inside of this bath. The new wall of this bath allowed us to implement a long double sink vanity with marble top and vessel sinks into this project.
Master bathroom has small windows and no lights. This was changed with adding wide & tall windows across back walls.
The extreme makeover of this remodeling project has been an inspiration to so many of their neighbors that clients were proud to keep showing off their remodeled home over and over again.
