bath 105

In a old home with small rooms and tiny baths, we remodeled this master bath by taking some space from an adjacent closet and hall bath, while remodeling the hall bath as well. The homeowners described their old bath as a motel style bath, that had a wall separating it from the bedroom, with a hallway behind that, leading into the vanity area, with the toilet and tub inside a room with a door. It was a huge waste of space to have the hidden hallway and vanity area, so we removed that, incorporating the hallway space into the bath. We stook some space from a closet next door and the hall bath on the opposite side, to enlarge the master bath to make space for both a tub and shower. This also gave us space for a larger vanity with double undermount porcelain sinks and additional lighting, as well as larger mirrors. We remodeled the hall bath in similar neutral tones to match. There is decorative tile surrounding the shower and tub, making it very low maintenance. We designed the shower with storage niches and body spray shower head, as well as wall-mounted shower head. The tile design helps break up the expanse of tile and make it more interesting as a design element.
