Here’s How to Prepare Your Bathroom for 2017 | Haymarket
29 Nov, 2016 Bathroom
It’s finally December. This month is probably what most families look forward to each year. It’s festive and it marks the holidays where love and warmth are shared despite the cold winter. But December not only signifies the end of a year — it also introduces the dawn of the new one that’s fast approaching.
That’s right. 2017 will soon be here. It’s out with the old and in with the new. So for your bathroom remodeling plans, here are the trends that will totally transform your entire grand bath this 2017.
This decorative light fixture will look good on any room. It elevates the interior and it never fails to make a statement. They range from glass to crystals depending on the price. Having one in your bathroom will not only make the room glamorous, it will also make you feel like a royalty bathing under its expensive warm glow. It’s as if you’re in one of those luxurious baths in 5 star hotels and spas.
Indoor plants are actually a great way to add life into your bathroom. When your interior design is monochromatic in color, a touch of green by the window or next to the sink will make a huge difference in your bathroom’s atmosphere.
Plants promote a clean environment because they have the ability to filter the air around them by converting carbon dioxide into oxygen. Even fake ones with bright or deep green leaves brings about a certain freshness in your boring looking bath. This design works best on plants that won’t die on you easily such as aloe, spider plant, english ivy, jade plant, rubber tree, dieffenbachia, peace lily, ficus, etc.
This type of pattern is not only suitable for Spring. You can rotate this all year round with your bathroom’s interior design. Florals encourage femininity and it gives off a soft look. You can be as expressive as you want with it. Tiny prints are delicate and intricate to look at, while larger prints are bold and striking. You can also switch them up with colors of your choice. For example, muted tones and pastels look good with small prints on white walls. And red hues and oranges look amazing with dark walls.
While we’re still on the concept of colors, you might as well know that when it comes to your bathroom, light colors are not the only color scheme to choose from. You’ve got plenty of choices actually. One of the bathrooms featured in home interior websites have impressive yellow walls. Another one sports a bright red glass bathtub. Then there’s one with blush pink walls, white framed mirrors, and royal purple seats. Some even have tiles that are almost offensive in how bright the colors are.
They never go out of style. They are classic and timeless interior pieces that you can always have in every part of the house. When they are placed strategically and framed to beauty, they can be a decoration your guests will always turn their heads to.
Mirrors give the illusion of a larger space. If your bathroom looks cramped, just put a mirror in the opposite direction of the window and it will reflect light in. It will make your bathroom brighter too.
Play around with it. You shouldn’t limit yourself when remodeling your bathroom. It is one of the personal rooms in your home and the least you can do is show your personality in its design.
