Now That You’ve Remodeled Your Bathroom – What’s Next?

After remodeling your bathroom you can just leave it all by itself. Wrong. Most homeowners miss the fact that bathrooms need to be taken care of like it’s fragile.
Why? Your bathroom needs maintenance as early as now while everything is still fresh. Imagine maintaining a bathroom that’s already old and damaged. But how should you do it? Here’s how.

Tile And Grout

Grout is a paste used to fill crevices on the wall or floor tiles. Since your bathroom gets constantly wet and doesn’t get sunny days, the grout will undoubtedly be discolored and permanently stained.

a. Use natural cleaning products

Avoid using bleach and harsh cleaners. Instead, pour a mixture of water and vinegar on the grout and scrub with a soft brush.

b. Seal the grout

When you go to home stores, you can easily purchase a water-resistant sealing product. Use this product at least once or twice a year.

c. Keep your shower dry

As much as possible, keep your floors and walls as clean and dry as possible. Simple splashes here and there, if left unattended, would cause stubborn marks.

Toilet Seat

“The Glorious Throne” is the heart of the bathroom. No matter how strong the material of your toilet is, it can still get scratched, wear away, or even crack.

a. Use a gentle scrubber

Make sure that you don’t use a rough sponge or brush to avoid wearing out the gloss of the toilet.

b. Check for leaks

Doing so will save you from bigger problems in the future and will also help conserve water.

c. Don’t flush foreign objects

Yes, that includes your dead pet goldfish. There are some clogs that are really hard to remove even with a plunger or a wire hanger.

Shower Head

For a better performance, shower heads should be properly taken care of.

a. Hire a professional

In the modern bathroom, electric shower is used. If you’re not so sure about the ins and outs of the shower head, then might as well hire someone who will maintain your high-tech shower head.

b. Clean with care

Sure there are hacks rampant around the Internet on how to clean your shower head. However, not all hacks may apply. Some modern shower heads may require some special and specific type of cleaning.

c. Learn about the controls

Know about the right mixture of hot and cold water to prevent future damage.
