This bright retro kitchen was designed by combining the corner laundry room
with the existing kitchen, and opening it up to the dining room and family room.
The dining room faced a door into the laundry room which contained the only
window in that corner. We combined the rooms together, moving the laundry room
upstairs, and using that space to enlarge and open up the kitchen. We installed
light cabinets and carrara marble counter tops, and glass front cabinet doors
for display cabinets. There are also beveled corner cabinets to help the flow
into the room. We installed a narrow island to help with prep space and to add
more storage to the kitchen. The microwave and cooktop create a cooking area
which is near the wall ovens, and the cabinets around the refrigerator make
up the pantry storage, which they did not have enough of before. There is also
a hidden pull out trash can and other slide out drawers and shelving, to make
the kitchen work better. |
