This
master bath was small and outdated. The homeowners wanted it to be enlarged
and wanted to have better access to it from the master bedroom. They also
wanted to have a large soaking tub and a larger shower than the one they previously
had. To accomplish this, we moved the entry door in order to enlarge the shower,
and created a large glass block shower that gets bright light from the large
window. This also allowed us to separate the toilet area from the main bath
space, and install the large soaking tub. We moved the window over to center
it over the tub. We also installed the large double vanity with full mirror
that reflects light into the room. We coordinated the color scheme with a
neurtral palette that is warm and cheerful. The granite counter top on the
vanity picks up the wood tones, and is echoed in the detail trim around the
tub and shower. The vanity has porcelain undermount sinks and double light
sconces, and gives each user their own storage and work space.
