This dated bath did not appeal to the homeowners. The shower was too small and the tub too large, so they did not use it at all. They wanted a bath that reflected the way they used it. The husband wanted a much larger shower with a steam feature and the wife wanted a very traditional soaking tub. We reconfigured the floorplan to take some space from the closet to enlarge the shower. We moved the windows and replaced them to make a corner window and give us a bit more wall space for the shower. They wanted a larger double vanity, which we installed with a large framed mirror. The soaking tub weighed several hundred pounds, it's steel, so we had to reinforce the floor, and run new plumbing lines for the standing fixture. The steam shower also required new plumbing, as well as electrical wiring for the heat.
