THese homeowners were inspired by the TV show "Rome" to remodel their bath in a roman style. They wanted it to be ornate and have upgraded surfaces to reflect a Roman bath. We created a bath using marble and metallic bronze accent tiles, as well as antique gold fixtures, including a chandelier over the tub and sconces over the vanity, gold framed mirrors, and gold faucets. We used a deep cherry cabinetry to give it some warmth, and installed a large steam shower with his and hers shower heads and a bench, all tiled in marble with gold accents. They had a high ceilng with a skylight, but the bath was always cold. We installed new double paned windows to keep the heat in during the winter and out in the summer. The vanity is counter height, since this is an adult bath, giving them some added storage space.
