As part of an in-law suite, we remodeled this bath to include a private entry from the bedroom, closing off the hallway door entry, and access to the closet from inside the bath, as well as adding the hallway to access both. Since closing off the bath from the hallway eliminated any natural light coming into the bath, we installed a tubular skylight to bring natural light into the bath, and still keep the privacy the homeowners wanted. We installed the toilet in the space where the former entry door had been, installed an extra long whirlpool tub in the former shower space, with a custom glass enclosure and custom tile design covering the angled wall and ceiling. The closet access was created by cutting a doorway into what had been the rear and side walls of the closet, so that now its accessible either from the bath or the bedroom. Throughout this bath, we installed easy to maintain tile, with decorative alternating straight and diagonal patterns in the shower surround.
