This
large dual master bath was constructed by removing two closets, consolidating
them to another area of the master bedroom, and greatly enlarging the old
master bath. We also moved the entrance to the master bath to the center of
the wall, giving us space on either side for his and her vanities, and the
toilet and shower areas. We installed a pocket door into the bath and toilet
rooms, to save space. We moved all of the drains and plumbing to reconfigure
the new vanities. The one on the right was a closet before that opened up
into the master bedroom. We removed that wall and incorporated the space into
the new bath. We tiled the bath with slate-look ceramic tile that gives it
texture and a neutral color scheme. The granite counters and the warm cherry
cabinetry contrast with the green tones, but it all blends together for an
earth tone look. We installed lots of lighting with double vanity bars and
recessed lights, all of which have dimming controls on them. We also installed
unique hardware on the cabinets and brushed nickel plumbing fixtures throughout
the bath. |
