This 1980's bath needed an update, and the owners wanted it to have a more luxurious feeling to it, with a Roman touch. We complied with dark wood tones in the cabinetry, dark toned tumbled tiles placed on the diagonal, and running up to the ceiling, as you would find in a Roman bath. We kept the essential configuration, but put in a smaller more useful whirlpool tub, and created the unique glass block shower, with floor to ceiling tile that really gives them the Roman bath they wanted. The glass block lets in plenty of light, and yet has the deep tones of the rest of the bath. We even tiled up to the slanted ceiling, which gives it a unique line at the ceiling.
