This couple in a large Reston townhome on the lake wanted to update their home to a contemporary inside and upgrade it. We refinished and replaced floors, lighting fixtures, including adding a Swarovski crystal chandelier in the powder room, created contrasting rich palettes of color in the floor, cabinet, tile and granite we installed. There are unique plumbing and lighting fixtures in the baths and kitchen, creating special luxury spaces. We completely remodeled the basement to create a dance studio for the couple and their friends, including floor to ceiling mirrors and solid wood flooring. The red wall and curtains give it a ballroom feeling, and privacy from the walkout porch. Their master bath is an oasis of earth tones, including the "slate" porcelain tile and black granite and plumbing fixtures. The cabinetry in both the baths and the kitchen is a rich brown stain, adding warmth to this contemporary interior.
