This
two story addition is helping a growing family with frequently visiting relatives,
cope with growth. The upstairs is a new kitchen and family room combination,
and the lower level is more space for socializing, office space, and guest bedrooms,
with a walk out to the patio where they can grill out. We installed a cathedral
ceiling in the addition, and its own hvac system, and large windows that bring
light into the north facing kitchen. The kitchen has plenty of space for a large
dining table, as well as for several members to sit at the kitchen island for
more informal meals. It's now the hub of the home, with an entrance to the garage
to conveniently bring in groceries, one to the formal dining room for serving,
and another to the main entrance foyer. The home now has a circular traffic
flow on the upper level, with plenty of space for everyone. |
