A mid aged couple in Potomac Falls VA moved to a Late 1980’s Colonial home from a larger house in Texas which they were accustomed to bigger amenities.  The first thing that was most important to them was a bigger master suite luxury bathroom

PROBLEM:

The existing bath was  very small room divided between dressing area and bath

            Shower quite cramped across the room
            Tub recessed into floor joist below
Owner does not have a separate shower

PROGRAM:

Owner seeking upgrades in aesthetics, space plan, overall function
Added a separate  much larger shower with separate two person whirlpool

SOLUTIONS:
 
Designer got to work to accommodate clients needs:

They have spacious  5 x 8 frameless enclosure shower with bench
 With two separate shower heads, his and hers.

            Two person whirlpool tub

     also provided:

            Custom wood frame surround tub to match cabinetry

            Integrated dressing area: decorative scones; crown moulding; detailed tile work
            Installed sky light for additional lights.
Installed 2 transom window above the tub to gain light from the west and south

Sectionalized (custom) cabinetry with upper storage cabinets
            mid-drawers for make-up etc
            lower for additional storage
            Porcelain tile on floor &walls accented with mosaic tiles
